Design Standards

Designing security standards to be used on a campus- or corporate-wide basis is a unique service offered by ASD. These standards guide architects and other design professionals by defining the minimum level of security to be achieved through any new building design or major renovation and directing product selection and installation.

These standards are generally divided into three sections:

1. General environmental design guidelines
2. Specific design directives
3. Standard specifications for security-related products and construction site security

This service may also include typical design drawings, risers or one-line diagrams for standardized security products such as door systems, closed circuit television, emergency call boxes, intrusion detection systems and alarms.
