NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS CAMPUS
ORLANDO, FL

Darden Restaurants – parent company of Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones Barbeque – engaged Aegis Security Design to provide Risk Assessment, Security Program/Master Plan, Systems Design and Implementation Management services for their new 400,000 sq. ft. Corporate Headquarters campus in Orlando, FL.

The engagement began with a detailed analysis of their 13 existing facilities in the Orlando area, identifying risks and threats and analyzing existing security operations. The Security Program included an analysis and recommendation on centralizing the monitoring of all 1400 restaurant security and fire alarm systems into the new campus.

Aegis worked closely with the development company (Trammel Crowe) and architect (Perkins + Will) to ensure elements of the security program were properly designed and integrated into the building plans.

A strong emphasis was placed on CPTED – Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design – strategies to ensure the facilities maintained an open, inviting environment, while enforcing security practices and policies to adequately protect the building occupants, employees, visitor and assets. Special care was taken to allow the campus to be used for public and community use, to display local artists’ creations and facilitate gatherings and other special events on the Corporate campus.
