ASD is the primary security master planning and design engineering consultant for the corporate office tower in the new 1.1 million sf Waterview development in Arlington, VA. Waterview, a high-profile, 2.16-acre site located at the foot of the Key Bridge in Arlington's Rosslyn submarket, will become the world headquarters for the Corporate Executive Board (CEB). The mixed-use facility will be comprised of two 300-ft. high towers, a 24-story office tower and a 28-story tower featuring 170 condominium residences and 155 hotel rooms. The buildings will be joined by a terrace at the fourth-floor level that will be home to a destination restaurant offering sweeping views of the Potomac River and the Nation's Capital. The development is being designed by world-renowned architect Pei Cobb Freed and Partners.

ASD’s project scope includes security master planning, system engineering and project execution services for the CEB office tower. Special attention will be given to the requirement for seamless, open interaction between the various departments within the building, and subsequent relations with other building occupants outside the office tower.

A strong emphasis will be placed on creating a secure environment for the many dignitaries and corporate executives that frequent the facility, while limiting the effect on the aesthetics of this high-profile building.

State of the art, standards-based security technology will be deployed, including integrated access control, network-based CCTV and intrusion monitoring systems. ASD is working closely with CEB’s IT staff and consultants to develop a robust network infrastructure capable of supporting the security technologies.
